About Us

The NFCFA has had very few breed rescues over the past 20+ years and this is due in part to the NFCFA Code of Ethics that our Breeders sign and stand by. In most cases if a cat has to be given up for adoption it is done through the breeder.

If you know of a pure bred Norwegian Forest Cat that needs to be rescued, please inform the Primary Regional Contact  by choosing your location below.

                               We need new homes!

#1 This is Tillie, a spayed calico/tabby born June 3, 2003.  She is a quiet sweet cat who likes to sit and be beautiful on my husband's desk when he is working on the computer.  She is not a lap cat and is not the cuddly type, but she is beautiful and dainty.  She gets along well with other cats.

#2  ADOPTED! This is Bette who is a brown tabby spayed female, born on September 22, 2004.  Doesn't she have a sweet face?  She likes to hang around with one of our male cats so she might be a good companion for another cat.  She needs brushing to keep her from matting.  Her job in our cat household is to tell me when it's time for everybody to have a snack.  She jumps on the container and meows until she gets what she wants! She also likes to drink water from the spigot.

#3 ADOPTED! This is B.B. King - a black neutered male born on May 25, 2004.  He is a quiet kind of shy beautiful boy.  He loves to sleep with you.  He likes being brushed and petted.  He gets along well with other cats.

#4  This is Colleen - a red and white tabby spayed female born  September 22, 2004.  Colleen is a sweet cat who likes to be petted and is not particularly a lap cat but she might be for you.  She especially loves fresh red, orange, or yellow bell peppers chopped up for her.  She gets along well with others.
